MyLand Welcomes Thad Schutt as Regional Sales Manager in Washington

Expanding Grower Impact in Washington with Soil Health Expertise

February 24, 2025 — Phoenix, AZ — MyLand, a soil health company, announced today that Thad Schutt has joined the team as Regional Sales Manager to support growers throughout Washington. With over 15 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, soil health, and biomass management, Schutt brings deep industry expertise to help growers improve their soil and maximize productivity.

In this role, Schutt will work closely with Washington growers to implement the MyLand Service – an innovative approach to soil health – ensuring they receive tailored solutions to enhance their growing operations with the power of live, native microalgae. His background in strategic partnerships, market development, and soil management makes him a valuable resource for growers looking to optimize their soil health for improved production and farm longevity.

“Soil health is the foundation of resilient and productive farming. I’m thrilled to join MyLand and work with growers across the region to improve their soil with their own native algae and enable them to achieve increased returns and sustainability,” said Schutt. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how science and innovative solutions can transform agriculture, and I’m excited to help bring MyLand’s groundbreaking approach to more farms in the region.”

Schutt will expand grower participation in MyLand’s Washington State program; growers that qualify to participate in the program will receive the MyLand Service at no cost in the first year. The program focuses on supporting sustainable agricultural practices and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and aims to cover 9,000 irrigated acres in the state.

“Thad is a great addition to our team; he comes onboard with a wealth of experience and a strong passion for building strong relationships with growers to improve soil health,” said Booher. “This further demonstrates our commitment to the Pacific Northwest and providing our growers with an excellent experience.”

Schutt holds a degree in Science from Central Washington University. His expertise aligns with MyLand’s mission to empower growers by harnessing the power of live, native microalgae to regenerate their soil.
